Em 0045 Jordan Collab 1200X1200

UPDATE: For all you eBay assassins out there, this is it! Today is the final day for bidding on this killer colab. Prices have barely budged since we last checked in but we've got a sneaking suspicion that might all change in the closing seconds. If you've got deep pockets then it's time to prep those trigger fingers, there's not long to go!

UPDATE: Here they are – get a load of these black beauties in all their clear-soled glory! There's no two ways about it, Carhartt's rugged canvas on the upper has these looking tough-as-nails. But now that we finally have a chance to scope these out from all angles, we can finally appreciate the finer details that make this pair truly special. Restrained hits of silver adorn the Jumpman and lace loops. The ShadyXV logo sneaks its way on to the tongue tag, right below His Airness, in commemoration of the label's 15th anniversary. Em's trademark hockey mask and backwards 'E' feature on the rear of the left and right shoes respectively. Dual Carhartt and Jordan branding  make their way behind the tongue, while Eminem branding features boldly on the innersole. Before you reach for your camp-chair, just remember there are only 10 pairs of these going up for sale and only via charity auction. The auctions are now  live on eBay in sizes from US 7-12, being sold by the marshall–matters–foundation. Prices on all pairs are over USD $10k a piece, with prices only seeming to rise the bigger the shoes get (currently up to USD $16.4k for sizes 11 and 12). All proceeds benefit the Literacy Through Songwriting Program by the MSUY Community Music School-Detroit, so all that money's going to a good place. If you are serious about placing a bid, just remember you will need to be pre-qualified first – so don't go expecting a last minute snipe unless you have hit up the Bidder Pre-Qualification form here! It is also worth noting that bidding is open internationally and, unfortunately, for those of you in New York, Tennessee, Texas and Missouri, you will be hit with sales tax on top of the purchase price. This is your only chance to land a pair, so don't miss out if you've got the cash to splurge – and feel free to cop us a pair while you're at it!

UPDATE: Demand for these is beyond crazy – as in so nuts that the charity auctions, which were meant to kick off on the 10th, have been postponed 'by a few days'. The delay is so Em's team can better prepare for the 'higher than anticipated demand', according to a  post on Shady's instagram. Not to worry though, that just means a few more days to gather funds for the fierce bidding to follow. Don't expect these to come cheap but if you want to throw your hat in the ring and place a bid, then make sure you are signed up for updates at the following link.

Eminem has famously worn Nikes and Jordans throughout his entire career, and the rapper's love for the Jumpman has led to two of the most sought after Air Jordan collaborations of all time, the 'Encore' AJIVs and 'Way I Am' AJIIs, released way before the new trend of Jordan collaborations in the past few seasons when Jordan Brand collaborations were still few and far between. While the 'Encore' AJIVs were produced exclusively for friends & family to commemorate Em's new album release, the latest colab is to celebrate the 15th anniversary of his Shady Records imprint and will be the very first Eminem x Jordan IV colab available to the public, with ten pairs to be auctioned off to benefit Eminem's Marshall Mathers Foundation. There have been a number of leaked images already floating around the internet, but for now we'll wait until the official photos to share what the final shoe will look like. What we do know is that Carhartt is also involved with the project, with Eminem's connection to the workwear company stemming from their shared rugged Michigan beginnings.
