The BIOM 2.1 X COUNTRY was earlier this year as the latest application of the ECCO BIOM Natural Motion. After proving the system’s effectiveness in athletic and casual applications, it took to the trails as the ultimate test. Built around a low profile that puts the foot closer to the ground for better control and feel without compromising protection, the design makes perfect sense off-road. Paired to the brand’s proprietary PHORENE cushioning foam and FLUIDFORM direct injection technology, underfoot armour is more than adequate.
All of this protection sole-side is matched up top. Ripstop nylon uppers keep weight down and durability up, and now there’s an additional layer of defence with the aforementioned GORE-TEX membrane sitting underneath.
