The Eames Office and Reebok kicked off their partnership in 2021 with a set of Club C releases inspired by everything from timeless design to one of Ray Eames' paintings, and now they're back with five fresh takes on the Classic Leather for 2022. Charles and Ray Eames created dozens of iconic furniture pieces and homewares for Herman Miller and Vitra over the years, so some of their greatest items are spotlighted in this collection.

First to the plate is the 'Rosewood,' which draws from one of Ray and Charles' favourite materials and their signature Lounge Chair/Ottoman set. It features a wood-grain print on its upper that nods to the chair and ottoman's signature wooden shells, while a leather construction indirectly salutes the chair's cushions. The chair and ottoman's original design sketch is printed on the insoles as well.

Next is the 'Colouring Toy,' inspired by a children's colouring and construction kit that Ray and Charles created in 1955. It offers an upper with bold black geometric outlines, taken directly from the kit and serving as an opportunity for aspiring customisers to put their own spin on it. Insoles boast an original Colouring Toy logo and a re-interpretation of the toy's instructions.

Last but not least is a three-pack of styles that draw from the Eames' elephant toy. Ray and Charles first conceptualised the toy back in the 1940s while experimenting with molded plywood, but were unable to mass-produce it at the time due to its tricky curves. Vitra teamed with the Eames Office to finally release it back in 2007, and its shoe form arrives in 'Poppy Red,' 'Dark Lime' and 'Ice Grey,' each with a removable elephant shroud atop the laces.

The collection will see a staggered rollout, with the 'Colouring Toy' hitting the Eames webstore on June 2, then coming to the Reebok webstore June 10. Next is the 'Rosewood,' releasing on June 9 (Eames) and June 10 (Reebok), while the entire elephant toy collection will drop June 20 (Eames) and June 21 (Reebok). Each pair is priced at $120.
