A huge fan of the Sony PlayStation, Paul George has collaborated with the video game giant for numerous iterations of his signature sneaker line, the Nike PG 2 and PG 2.5 famously receiving multiple colourways paying homage to gaming.

Now, as the NBA season steps ever closer to a post-season loaded with storylines, Paul George will debut the brand new PlayStation x Nike PG 5 ‘PS5’.

Known for travelling with his PlayStation on the road, the colourway of course borrows heavily from Sony’s mega successful PS5, with the in-house PlayStation team (including Yujin Morisawa) even collaborating on the sneakers.

Building from the clean lines and minimalist colour scheme of the PS5, the PG 5 features split branding on the tongue, while each shoe incorporates the legendary symbolic patterns seen on the DualSense wireless controller.

Each pair also comes with a special hangtag celebrating the continued partnership.

The PG 5 ‘PlayStation 5’ was originally due to release on SNKRS on May 27 with select regions receiving an earlier release starting May 14. However, news has just come through that the drop has now been pushed back to June 17.
