Drop Details: The Concepts x Nike Kyrie 7 ‘Horus’
Boston-based label continues to collaborate with for some of the most inspired sneakers in the basketball industry, the latest Kyrie 7 ‘Horus’ a testament to the longstanding relationship between the two entities.
Another Egyptian-themed colourway, the Kyrie 7 ‘Horus’ upper takes inspiration from the sand and sky in the desert before nightfall. Mysterious ancient Egyptian iconography is worked into the forefoot bands and heel, while the Swoosh pays homage to the Winged Sun, a symbol associated with divinity, royalty and power.
‘Intended for use in the afterlife, the Khufu ship buried on the south side of the Great Pyramid of Giza is the inspiration behind the exclusive Concepts box,’ Concepts added. ‘Uncovered in 1954 after surviving more than 4,600 years, the ship’s intent still remains a mystery today.’
Designed with help from Kyrie’s sister, Asia, the Kyrie 7 ‘Horus’ is set to release alongside the Made in the USA ‘Feather of Maat’ collection.
Look for the Concepts x Nike Kyrie 7 ‘Horus’ to release on May 7 exclusively at Concepts. The retail price tag is set at $150.
