Don’t Fence-Sit on the Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘Neutral Grey’Release: 24 June 2021
The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Neutral Grey’ recently returned for the very first time in over 35 years, and was promptly snapped up by old ‘heads, ravenous resellers, and mere fans of the model alike. Here’s a second chance – sort of – to acquire a simple colourway that proves to be quite versatile, albeit in Low form.
This isn’t your run-of-the-mill AJ1 Low that’s bastardised the original design’s panels and proportions. The class of 1985 is brought back here with the full-sized Swoosh, heel Wings logo, and Nike Air-branded woven tongue label. It’s these little details that earn the coveted OG designation – and will simultaneously make this a tougher pickup than the aforementioned GR editions. There are some shared features, though, namely the encapsulated Air sole inside a rubber walled midsole and smooth leather uppers. Suede Swooshes and heel tabs are also nice touches.
Even if this information is available early, it’ll be a while more before the shoes themselves see the light of day (backdooring aside). The Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘Neutral Grey’ is scheduled to release on June 24 via Nike and selected Jumpman stockists such as GOAT. That’s plenty of time to watch, wait and whinge (if Ls are eventually handed out).
