In a press release, NB’s Joe Grondin has said ‘With celebrity-endorsed sneakers coming out every weekend, we thought Donald was a good collaborator for New Balance to take a more considered approach. No loud colors or branding, just classic, easy-to-wear colorways of a new silhouette that fit Donald’s style.’
Using the RC30 as the canvas, it chooses a build similar to that of the XC-72 and 327, looking to 1970s running silhouettes for inspiration specifically the New Balance Trackster. Keeping a tasteful low profile, nylon and suede materials have been applied to orange and white colourways. There’s no Donald Glover branding as these aren’t necessarily a collaboration and are being called the New Balance RC30 presented by Donald Glover.
The Donald Glover endorsed New Balance RC30 in both orange and white will release today, July 8, exclusively via Market by Gilga, a wider drop will occur on July 18.
