Diadora and Diemme Collaborate on a Luxe and Limited Hiking Boot
For their latest collaboration, Diadora linked with fellow countrymen at Diemme to create a run of luxurious hiking boots in celebration of Diadora's forthcoming 70th anniversary.
Together, the two have reworked Diemme's popular Roccia boot to fashion the Tonale Mod 1948. The colab features full-grain premium leather uppers, dual-branded bellows tongues and ankle cushioning crafted with ultra-soft calfskin leather. Extractible anatomical latex insteps provide perfect all-day comfort. Each pair has been lovingly handcrafted in Diemme's Treviso factory.
And while many know Diadora for their euro-style sneakers, flip 70 years back in the history books and you’ll find the brand actually started as an artisanal boot workshop. The new design borrows from Diadora's early historic silhouettes; most notably, the Tonale Mod 1948 features a hook lacing system to replace the Roccia's traditional D-rings.
The Diadora x Diemme Tonale Mod 1948 will release in limited numbers on December 9 through Italian-based retailers Sneakers 76, Special Milano and I Love Tokyo. An equally limited global release will follow on December 16 through END., Hanon and LimitEDitions.
