The Di'Orr Greenwood x Nike SB Collection Lands in June
There’s no denying that 2023 has been a monumental year for division, and although a lot of it comes down to good product, you can’t underestimate the power of storytelling. Having pulled out all the stops for releases like the and Yuto Horigome , the team at Nike SB have now turned their attention to the Nike and Nike , and have asked Di’Orr Greenwood to tell her story through the styles.
If you’re unfamiliar with Di’Orr Greenwood, let us introduce you. Hailing from Northern Arizona, Greenwood is an artist who specialises in pyrography, a traditional folk art where words and images are burnt into wood. She also designs skateboard decks (hence the colab) and was born and raised on the Navajo Nation. Her background serves as the inspiration for the collaboration.
Keeping things relatively simple, the Di’Orr Greenwood x Nike SB Blazer Mid Pro arrives in tonal black and grey hues, with a construction inspired by her heritage. At the throat, nubuck overlays are cut in intricate designs, while embossed firewood symbols hit the midsole. The pairs then come finished with a special-edition dubrae.
The Blazer isn’t all Nike and Greenwood have in store for us this year, either. Images of a collaborative SB Dunk High have also leaked, and that pair is set to arrive in a much more vibrant colour palette. Working in shades of teal and brown, the pair comes packed with multicoloured detailing on the tongues, printed insoles and embroidered constellations on the Swooshes.
Neither of the Di’Orr Greenwood x Nike SB collabs have an official release date yet, but make sure to stay locked to Sneaker Freaker for all the latest on these!
