Converse’s Latest Collection Celebrates Bugs Bunny’s 80th Birthday
Everyone’s favourite Looney Tunes trickster Bugs Buggy is celebrating his 80th birthday in 2020, and are commemorating the milestone with a special collection for fans of all ages. As you’d expect, the wise-cracking rabbit – or should we say, ‘wabbit’ – takes centre stage on the collection’s footwear offerings, which include various takes on the , and .
Arriving in one low top and two high top versions, the Chuck Taylor All-Stars feature playful graphics of Bugs. A black colourway displays Bugs bursting through the lateral side, chewing his beloved carrot. Meanwhile, a red pair boasts embroidered details on both sides, and a white low-cut model shows Bugs’ evolution through the years. All three styles supply a commemorative 80th anniversary tongue tag.
Additionally, Chuck 70s and Pro Leathers take a more reserved approach. The former features an upper done up in a grey and light cream fur material, while Pro Leathers mix grey and tan suede with debossed heel details. Subtle graphic hits like an embossed carrot and Bugs silhouette provide tasteful odes to the cartoon bunny.
Releasing alongside matching apparel, the Bugs Bunny x Converse 80th Anniversary collection releases on October 27 at Converse.
