have just , an environmentally-conscious strategy that takes substances harmful to the earth and turns them into sneakers that are pleasing to the eye.

To stretch the boundaries of what can be rebuilt into shoe form, one Converse worker went postal. As Fast Company report:

Avery literally grabbed a paper postal mailer right off his desk and added it to the program. The result was a crinkled, papery pair of that proved the theory: Converse can make its most iconic shoe out of anything, and the shoe only gets more interesting for it.

We agree, the envelope Chuck looks great – now we just need to know if it’s releasing to the public. Fast Company then showed a heavily knitted Chuck, also without release info.

You can, however, get involved with three new Renew items: the Renew Canvas, Renew Cotton, and Renew Denim. The canvas and denim iterations will hit stores on July 5, with the latter to follow in August, hopefully with these pairs here.
