Converse x ADER ERROR Deconstruct the Chuck 70 Once Again

and Seoul-based label are back in the lab, pushing the creative envelope with their latest collaborative chapter: the 'Significant'

Launching this week, the new release introduces ADER ERROR’s 'Significant' line – an exploration of ‘Alter Basic’ that strips the Chuck back to its essential form, only to rebuild it with a fresh, conceptual twist.

Over the years, this partnership has evolved through themes like ‘Create Next’, ‘Refound’, and now ’Significant’, each one diving deeper into the art of reinterpretation. This time, the Chuck 70 becomes a canvas for contrast – polished and raw, tailored yet distressed. It’s a fusion of minimalism and maximal intention, where every stitch and overlay has a story to tell.

The 'Significant' Chuck 70 features a brushed twill upper with deconstructed canvas overlays, raw edges, and embroidered graphics. The medial side is marked by a stitched-down patch with debossed print details, while triple stitching across the eyerow and tongue varies in tone depending on the panel – an understated nod to ADER ERROR’s design language. Added hardware, twin lace jewels, a graphic heel loop and double lacing complete the look, adding layers of visual intrigue to the otherwise clean silhouette.

Founded in 2014, ADER ERROR have built a cult following owing to their avant-garde take on fashion, remixing familiar silhouettes with offbeat graphics and bold proportions. Rooted in Seoul’s hyper-modern creative scene, the collective thrives on disruption – blending youth culture, art and tech to forge a distinct design language. Their mantra, ’but near missed things’, reflects a mission to find beauty in the overlooked.

The ADER ERROR x Chuck 70 arrives on July 24 and retails for $180.
