As a follow up to its Made in USA New Balance 998 'C-Note' release inspired by the Benjamins, Concepts is linking up with Diadora to drop another currency-themed sneaker. The Boston heavyweights are using the top tier N.9000 as the platform for this new collaboration, continuing the money theme by decking the Made in Italy runner in colours inspired by the Italian Lira, the national currency in Italy before converting to the Euro. The grey mesh underlay is complemented with tonal suede toe and lace panels, while pastel shades of blue, green and red, referencing the colours of Lira notes, highlight the tongue, heel and side overlays. Iridescent tongue patch and the '500000' replacing the 'N.9000' embossing on the heel continue the theme, as 500000 Lire was the highest denomination in circulation, similar to their 'C-Note' release.
The Concepts x Diadora 'Lire' will be available exclusively from Concepts in-store and online on the 3rd of October, with global stockists to be announced afterwards.
