Launching this weekend, the collaboration brings retro-future vibes to the streets of Boston – and well beyond. Soft linen tones cloak the upper, while ABZORB cushioning underfoot keeps the ride plush. It’s a brand-new track, but the melody feels familiar – like hearing your favourite tune reimagined by a fresh producer.

To keep the music metaphor spinning, Concepts are linking the release to Boston’s ICA Vinyl Nights. As a proud sponsor of the event, Concepts will offer guests the chance to pre-order the ABZORB 2010 ‘Linen’ at this Friday’s party, before the global debut hits shelves the next day.

Introduced earlier this year, the New Balance 2010 is a fresh-faced addition to the brand’s running-inspired lifestyle lineup. Drawing heavily from the 99X lineage – particularly the iconic 990 series – the silhouette fuses archival cues with contemporary sensibility. Its exaggerated midsole geometry and layered mesh-and-suede build feel lifted straight from the Y2K era, but there’s a modern energy at play too. With ABZORB tech in the mix, it balances cushioned comfort and visual punch, making it a natural evolution for NB’s retro-futurist footwear canon.

Concepts will be the only retailer dropping the New Balance ABZORB 2010 ‘Linen’ on July 19, both in-store and online at CNCPTS.COM from 11am ET. As part of their sponsorship of Boston’s ICA Vinyl Nights, Concepts will give attendees the chance to pre-order the sneaker at the event on Friday, July 18 – just one day before its official release.
