Concepts Launch the New Balance 1906U ‘Utility Pack’

The is still running the numbers as one of the hottest models in the NB arsenal. Originally resurrected with a little help from Korean streetwear heavyweights the silhouette’s gone on to become a go-to for big ticket collaborators like and Lately, the 1906 has even enjoyed a wild second act as a hybrid mashup –proving it’s got more lives than a pair of OG dad shoes.
Now, Boston’s beloved are jumping back on the rollicking 1906U bandwagon, this time dropping a trio of ‘Utility Pack’ colourways. One standout variant showcases a grey base accented with purple and teal hues, reminiscent of 1990s hoops (any Charlotte Hornets fans out there?). Another pair combines pale blue accents with grey and cream tones, while the third offers a jet-black upper complemented by off-white soles. Each design is unified by an unevenly tinted midsole, emphasising the collection's archival inspiration.
Originally dropping back in 2009, the New Balance 1906 was named for the year the Boston brand was founded. As part of the NB 'running renaissance' of the late 2000s, the 1906 was pitched as a top-tier performance runner packed with high-tech details like the ABZORB cushioning, Stability Web support, and a breathable mesh/synthetic upper. At launch, it was aimed at serious road warriors, but has since became a lifestyle linchpin for the legendary label.
Priced at $160, the ‘Utility Pack’ will be available exclusively through CNCPTS on April 25, both online and in-store.
