Vans and Comme des Garçons Resurrect Their 2018 Authentic

There are plenty of modern classics in illustrious catalogue, from the mountain of and to the 2018 . The latter iteration is now returning after seven years, and stays true to the original.

The return of this joint venture in its same form is a welcome surprise for fashion fanatics and sneakerheads alike. Rather than Comme des Garçons and Vans proper, this is a partnership between the block-lettered CDG sub-line – which puts out plenty of heavily branded, streetwear-leaning product – and Vans’ fresh-faced OTW line. The only section of the model updated for 2025 is the new insole branding, but it's an otherwise faithful reproduction.

The entire upper is decked out in classic canvas, with the usual rubberised midsole. Repeated CDG branding covers most of the model, broadcasting your flex to the streets.

The Comme des Garçons x Van OTW Authentic is prepped to drop through CDG’s channels and brick-and-mortars on June 13.
