Comme des Garçons turned heads and captivated hearts with their FW21 'Landscape of Shadows' runway show back in March, but among all the immensely oversized monochromatic jackets, dresses and gowns seen in the collection, one thing stood out above all else: a Nike football boot with a built-in heel. It's the Comme des Garçons x Nike Premier, and it's now stepped off the runway and onto the shelves of Dover Street Market.

This isn't the first time CDG's Rei Kawakubo has distorted a Nike sport shoe by adding a heel, as a Nike Machomai boxing boot was sent down the runway for CDG's SS18 Paris Fashion Week show and later sold in an extremely limited run at DSM, where it retailed for a handsome $1300. However, the Machomai is an off-the-beaten-path silhouette not known outside of the boxing world, while the Premier – first debuted in 1992 – is one of Nike's longest-running football boot lines, making Kawakubo's distortion of its style all the more iconic.

Available in white/black and black/white, each is made entirely of supple full-grain leather with signature quilted detailing. Its back is elevated both literally and figuratively with a high-gloss plastic heel, while the forefoot offers pint-sized 'cleats' for a nod to the Tiempo's original purpose. Besides its swooping Swooshes, there are Nike hits debossed into the heel and co-branded details on the leather insoles. Wildest CDG colab in recent memory? We think so!

If you're looking to cop a pair, you can head over to Dover Street Market London now. Select sizes of each colour are available for £475 (approximately $632), and more will likely touch down at DSM's other outposts in the coming weeks.
