Immortalised by in the 2001 NBA Finals, the Answer 4 first hit retail shelves in 2000.
Bringing the MVP hardware back to Philadelphia, Iverson faced superstar duo Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal in the Finals, where the iconic ‘step-over’ fade-away jumper on Ty Lue in Game 1 seared into our consciousness forever.
Although the Lakers went on to win the series in a gentleman's sweep (4–1), Allen Iverson’s dogged performance will be forever remembered as one of his most successful runs.
Reebok have once again exhumed the iconic Answer 4 for 2021, the sneaker in its OG white/red/grey colour combination. Now, it looks like we have a modern classic on the way, a Hot Rod–inspired rendition sure to spark plenty of fire among sneakerheads.
Manufactured with black tumbled leather uppers, the toe overlays are inflamed with the signature Hot Rod colour palette. ‘Iverson Racing’ is embroidered on the tongue and also on the insoles. On the toe and heel, references to Iverson’s intricate tattoos are stamped. On the strap, a reference to Cru Thik is emphasised.
Finally, a gradient I3 logo is emblazoned on the midfoot.
Look for the Reebok Answer 4 ‘Motorsport’ to release over the coming weeks. The retail price is locked at $130.
