Closer Look: Union L.A. x Air Jordan 4 ‘Taupe Haze’ AKA ‘Trail’Release: TBC
After months of teasers, the latest Jordan Brand collaboration with Union L.A. has finally been revealed, with the boutique’s remixed Air Jordan 4 once again front and centre. Featuring two colourways, the ‘Tent and Trail’ collection is inspired by the 80s/90s adoption of outdoor-inspired fashion. Known widely as the ‘Taupe Haze’ colourway, the ‘Trail’ side of the project joins the ‘Tent’ AKA ‘Desert Moss’.
In the latest up-close look of the Air Jordan 4 ‘Taupe Haze’, we get another look at the luxurious mix of suede and mesh. Translucent wings again return, while UN/LA lateral tags, pre-folded tongues and hangtags add to the overall aesthetic.
‘The vision here was to mix suede and mesh, so we worked really hard to find the right materials’, Union owner Chris Gibbs said of the original inspiration behind the design. ‘For the suede, we took hints from other products with really thick but plush suede… For the mesh, we wanted an old-school mesh like the OG sneakers of the 80s’.
Union have mentioned that both these pairs will see a release in June, however an exact date is yet to be confirmed. Also, in classic Union style, the ‘Taupe Haze’ will be exclusive to their store, while the ‘Desert Moss’ will be a wider release. Stay tuned for more release details.
