Closer Look: The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1

It’s been one hell of a sneaker journey for Travis Scott so far. After cutting his teeth with Helmut Lang and the Jordan Trunner LX, La Flame was quickly cleared for take-off with the Nike Air Force 1.

Now boasting a Jordan Brand and Swoosh catalogue that’s defining a generation of sneakerheads, Travis Scott is back with another Air Max, this time remastering the indelible Air Max 1.

First spotted in a sneak peek during Air Max Day festivities, the Travis Scott x Air Max 1 will reportedly come in five different colourways, including the latest up-close shot above.

Again emblazoned with Scott’s signature reverse Swoosh on the lateral side, the latest model incorporates an updated version of the ‘Cactus Jack’ logo on the tongues and heels. Ostensibly inspired by ACG-like outdoor aesthetics, the latest Scott x Air Max looks like it’ll extend the design vocabulary of previous designs like the Air Max 270 ‘Trail Runners’.

Look for the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 ‘Cactus Jack’ to release sometime later this year.
