Closer Look: The Yeezy BOOST 380 ‘Covellite’
While news has been circulating about the upcoming ‘Covellite’ for , and the release is still a couple of days away, new images have emerged to whet appetites ahead of the drop.
In the real world, ‘Covellite’ is an iridescent, blue steel mineral ore related to copper. And its application to this Yeezy BOOST 380 continues the long trend of Yeezy colourways looking to the world of geology for aesthetic inspiration. Applied here on a sneaker, the rocky upper weave and earthy complementary colours do their best to express the lustrous qualities of the obscure mineral.
Down below, the full-length BOOST sole unit offers luxurious comfort, and is wrapped in a dark brown gum rubber outsole that is a little different to the norm.
