Closer Look: The Off-White x Air Jordan 2

Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Low

Designer Virgil Abloh has been on a tear recently, debuting ‘The 50’ Off-White x Nike Dunk Lows, a slew of Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1s, and now the Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Low. One of the more under-appreciated silhouettes within Jordan Brand’s arsenal, the AJ2 is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, hence the gargantuan collaboration. Leaks first started to emerge of this release towards the beginning of this month, and then not long after a rumoured release date surfaced.

Pairs have started to slip through the cracks ahead of the drop, and resell store Good Times Atlanta have accessed one! Not only for sale but they’ve also posted a clean gallery of up-close imagery to their IG.

Potentially referencing the ‘Varsity Red’ AJ2 from 1986, this colab boasts an aged look with not only pre-yellowing on the midsole and exposed foam, but also artificial cracking. White leather makes the upper, with subtle red contrast pops and Michael Jordan’s signature on the lateral collar. Virgil Abloh makes his mark on the medial side with his classic zip-tie.

No release date has been officially secured as of yet, but we hear that the Off-White x Air Jordan 2 will drop on September 23.
