Closer Look: Ronnie Fieg for ASICS ‘The Palette’ GEL-Lyte III Collection

Kith and their founder Ronnie Fieg are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the ASICS GEL-Lyte III with a special collaboration featuring 30 new colourways. Revealing ‘The Palette’ concept, inspired by the primary tones used in Kith’s renowned apparel and footwear collections, Fieg has prepped the commemorative drop for Black Friday.

When first leaked, the community was unsure whether all 30 colourways would see a release. However, with the full reveal now upon us, confirmation and up-close shots of every single pair have come through.

Fieg’s history with ASICS runs deep, having started his career with the Japanese imprint. The GEL-Lyte III was the first sneaker he worked on, and he’s remained a loyal collaborative partner with the brand since 2007. During that time, he’s fashioned sought-after GL3 colourways such as the , and, most recently, the ‘252.1’.

As part of the celebration, each colourway will feature a tonal premium pigskin suede upper, matched up with a subtly contrasting tonal sole unit. As always, the classic split tongue highlights the silhouette, while distinctive branding hits ramp up the luxe look. You’ll find ‘30’ embossed on the left shoe, and ‘Fieg’ in ASICS-style font on the right.

The Ronnie Fieg for ASICS ‘The Palette’ GEL-Lyte III collection will be available at all Kith stores, and via their webstore, on Black Friday (11AM ET). Each colourway will be limited to just 300 pairs. Retail price will be $180.
