Closer Look: Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS GEL-Aurania

Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov continues his trailblazing partnership with ASICS, creating the brand new GEL-Aurania. Bolstering the women’s offering from Kostadinov’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection, two distinctive colourways flaunt a modern design inspired by precision, craft, and the ASICS Spiral logo.

Digging back into the ASICS archive, the silhouette nods to the GEL-QUANTUM INFINITY JIN heel and tooling, while the upper qualities echo the Skysensor Slash JJ. The lacing system can be tightened with a single hand, wrapping upward from the toe toward the ankle, zigzagging through a curved cutaway. Meanwhile, GEL technology is inserted into the heel for superior comfort.
