Closer Look: The KAWS x sacai x Nike Blazer Low

All-conquering American artist KAWS continues to empower the sneaker industry with high-profile collaborations. Real name Brian Donnelly, KAWS has already released hype-inducing renditions like the Air Jordan 4 (2017) and Nike Air Max 90 pack (2008), and is continuing the ongoing mashup between pop art and sneakers in 2021. His latest trick is linking up with industry behemoth Chitose Abe and her sacai imprint for the KAWS x sacai x Nike Blazer Low.

Revealed in two distinct colourways, the KAWS x sacai x Nike Blazer Lows again feature sacai’s signature stacked midsoles, tongues, shoelaces and eyestays, while KAWS’ iconic ‘XX’ motif strikes the tongue tags and midsoles. Emblazoned with exposed-foam tongues and misaligned midsoles, the sacai x Nike partnership is still one of the most lucrative in the sneaker industry.

Look for the KAWS x sacai x Nike Blazer Low to release this month at select retailers.
