The Clarks Wallabee Goes UNDERCOVER
Legendary Japanese label are expanding their collaborative catalogue by adding the equally storied to the new season roster. While the former’s runway items regularly venture into the avant-garde, their take on the crepe-soled shoe is considerably restrained.
This colab uses the boot-cut version of the Wallabee and renders them in OG shades of beige and black, which is made in suede and sits atop crepe rubber wedge soles. The minimalist rework sees UNDERCOVER’s all-caps motifs of ‘CHAOS’ and ‘BALANCE’ printed on the right and left toe boxes, respectively. Other subtle elements include the metal eyelets, lightning-bolt embroidery near the ankle collar, and a secondary set of flecked hiking-style rope laces. The pairs are completed by the inclusion of dual-branded suede fobs for the owner to attach or remove from the laces.
The UNDERCOVER x Clarks Wallabee will release on September 3 directly from UNDERCOVER stores and Dover Street Market.
