Christian Nahual X Nike Air Huarache Sock (Day Of The Dead)
Christian Nahual brings us a very special make-up of the Nike Air Huarache, paying tribute to the Mexican holiday of Día de Muertos – or as it is known in English, the Day of the Dead. This unique mid-cut variation of the Tinker Hatfield creation, which sources its name from the leather-strapped sandals worn by the indigenous people of Mexico, has been hand-crafted from the 'Triple Black' Air Huarache, and accented with nods to the day of remembrance.
Nahual has produced just 30 pairs of this special release in conjunction with his production team, N1 Project, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of 2006's 'Day of the Dead' Nike SB Dunks. The neoprene sock-fit ankle collar of this new make-up replicates the colourful skeleton print of the original Dunk. Other special details include reptile skin overlays, premium tumbled leather heel, metallic silver details on the tongue and heel, and woven leather heel strap. With so few units available, the lucky buyers will be able to introduce a touch of personalisation and have their name added to the left heel strap.
