Christian Kimber established himself in the footwear realm over the past few years with his updated offerings of menswear staples including the tassle loafer and derby shoe, but this year the Melbourne-based designer began focusing on classic sneaker silhouettes and re-interpreting them like you've never seen before. His debut collection 'Passport' is inspired by his travels across the world, and each piece in the range has a deeper meaning that explains the colours, textures and paneling used on the sneaker. Each model is handcrafted in Italy with the finest Italian leathers and suede hand-picked by Christian himself, with 100% calf lining every pair and an incorporated athletic technical insoles to ensure the most luxurious comfort you'll ever find. The highlights for us would be the beautiful blue 'Cumulus' hightops and the burgundy and navy 'Byron' inspired by an iconic NB runner, but together the release is a very solid outing for a debut collection. Head to Christian Kimber's online store ,here to find out more about the inspiration for each sneaker, and the footwear will be available from selected boutiques next season.
