Check Out the Stone Island x ECCO Leather Exostrike Boot
have been in the headlines recently because of their acquisition by Moncler for $1.4 billion – but here at Sneaker Freaker we’re more interested in their kicks! So, let’s take a look at their latest.
The Italian luxury brand is something we’re sure you’re very familiar with, and they’re arguably most famous for their jackets and notorious reputation as the uniform for Britain’s football hooligans. Less known is their partnership with for the creation of a slew of kicks. Most recently, the duo have unleashed this epic Exostrike boot in a tasty black-on-black combo.
This link-up is the perfect example of two brands showing what they’re both best at, with Stone Island showing off their expert dyeing techniques, while ECCO boast their state-of-the-art leather tanning and shoe crafting techniques. The upper has been crafted using Dyneema, an ultra-lightweight and extremely durable non-woven fabric, and has been finished with a nylon canvas rocking a 75 per cent leather and 25 per cent rubber mix. They didn’t shy away from the sole unit down below either. Using ECCO’s Fluidform tech, they’ve hit the lab mixing it with shock absorbing liquid which fuses the upper with the uber-comfy midsole.
Completing the look is Stone Island’s iconic insignia debossed onto the leather tongue label.
