Ceeze Kick-Starts Mortal Kombat 1 with Reebok Pump Omni-Zone 2
Connor Seltz and his New York City-based bespoke studio Ceeze are known for crafting high-end sneaker customs and accessories. The Ceeze team is now turning its attention to the Reebok Pump Omni-Zone 2 to celebrate the launch of Mortal Kombat 1. The model is a heavy-hitter from Reebok’s all-powerful 1990s roster, and Ceeze have created a duo of ruthless colourways for the occasion.
The ‘Shipped’ design features deadly white alligator uppers, with highlights of blue suedes, hot embers printed on napa leather, and ferocious white print dragon liner. The second colourway of course pays homage to fan-favourite fighter and protagonist Liu Kang and is replete with bloody red suede gator, a variety of mixed canvas materials, and knockout gold tones on black suede. The ‘Shipped’ and ‘Liu Kang’ iterations will launch alongside a bespoke apparel collection.
For its part, the Reebok Omni-Zone 2 is still a champion of the Reebok canon. Famously pumped up by Dee Brown on the way to winning the classic 1991 NBA Dunk Contest in Charlotte, the silhouette continues to get plenty of gas in the 21st century.
