Salomon Tap Carhartt WIP For a Rugged CSWP Shelter Colab
Recently, (Work in Progress), the brand’s lifestyle-geared offshoot, posted a teaser to Instagram revealing that they’ll be collaborating with . After days of anticipation the upcoming sneaker colab has been revealed alongside release information!
Unsurprisingly, Carhartt WIP opted for a lesser known Salomon model dubbed the CSWP Shelter, a rugged boot that’s injected with plenty of performance-geared tech, light insulation and enhanced grip. It’s also completely waterproof! The colourway chosen uses a deep blue and black with subtle green hints toward the heel and grey surrounding the rear.
It wouldn’t be a Carhartt colab without ripstop and camouflage, so they included the tough fabric throughout most of the top half and reinterpreted a traditional Indonesian camo for the insole. Despite being function-geared, both brands have roots within the graffiti crowd, and have created a video to sit alongside the colab inspired by the the concrete jungle subculture.
We’re sure fans of both Carhartt WIP and Salomon will be looking to get their hands on the collaborative CSWP Shelter! It’s slated to drop on February 10 at select Salomon and Carhartt WIP retailers with a release in Asia and Australia following on February 17.
