Canvas and ‘Grain’ Reach the Nike Lahar Low
Rewinding to the tail end of last year, and we witnessed get inspired by one of their most beefy boots – the Lahar Escape from 1989. Reworking the silhouette in a drastic way, they were able to channel the energy of both hikers and city slickers, crafting what we called the urban hiker’s dream. While the first emerged towards the end of 2020, the release of two combos occurred in January of 2021, and people didn’t sleep on the model, with many sizes selling out.
Back at it again, Nike are looking to embody nature with the creation of another Lahar Low dressed in canvas and dubbed ‘Grain’. Unlike the previous two combos which saw dual tone makeups, this pair has been blessed with a tonal upper and use of numerous materials. The sole unit remains as rugged as ever, with a darker green finish that extends up around the toe and sides. Completing the throwback look is the Mini Swoosh branding and scripted Nike on the heel pull tab.
