Sonny Vaccaro Believes Caitlin Clark Deserved a Nike Deal Similar to Michael Jordan

Caitlin Clark has been causing some serious buzz in the WNBA sphere after she was the top pick in Monday’s draft, going to Indiana Fever. Viewership for that draft was also at a record high, quadrupling when compared to the year prior, with 2.4 million people tuning in. Over in the sneakersphere though, there’s been word floating around that Clark is preparing to sign an eight-figure deal with Nike.

Originally reported by The Athletic, it’s been said that Clark has been linked with a deal that’s over $20 million plus bonuses and a signature shoe. It’s also been stated that adidas, Under Armour and Golden State Warrior’s Steph Curry’s Curry Brand were also in talks with Clark for a potential deal.

There’s been no word from Team Swoosh as to whether Clark has accepted her offer; however, she has already been part of the Nike family. While setting records as an up and comer playing in the women’s NCAA as part of the University of Iowa, Clark had a deal with Nike.
