Usain Bolt Narrates New Butter Goods x PUMA Colab Promo
Aussie dairy brand Butter Goods are back in the fridge with a new collaboration that revisits the Lo and models in an expansive four-pair collection alongside matching branded apparel.
They’ve also enlisted the help of a special guest for the accompanying promo video!
The Slipstream Lo takes on decidedly throwback colours that work well on the revived 1980s basketball shoe. One is a simple white, purple and teal number with Butter Goods branding stamped on the sides and hardware elements highlighted by accenting colours. The other pair swaps smooth leather for suede, its brown and green combo atop black soles certainly evoking the classic ‘Beef, Butter and Broccoli’ colourway.
Meanwhile, the Suedes continue Butter Goods’ straightforward practice of rendering tonal colourways using highly textured materials. Here, its namesake suede ramps up the nap factor massively, resulting in some very stroker-friendly shoes. Creamy white and sky blue options sit above navy soles.
To help promote the new collection, a short animation and soundtrack has been created depicting ‘Super PUMA’, an anthropomorphic and meditative brand mascot finding its groove. It is, of course, voiced by no other than Usain 'Butter' Bolt!
