Bronx Girls Skate Lace Up the Nike SB Dunk Low

are teaming up with one of NYC’s most empowering skate collectives – and this one’s got something to say. The Bronx Girls Skate x Nike puts community, identity, and storytelling front and centre, wrapped in bold textures and powerful symbolism.
Founded in 2020 by Mel Ramirez and Kava Vasquez, Bronx Girls Skate was born to carve out space for women and gender-expansive skaters of colour. What started as a local movement has grown into a force that’s reshaping skate culture from the pavement up.
And their Dunk Low doesn’t hold back. The upper is dressed in stingray-textured black leather, giving it a street sheen that catches light like asphalt after rain. Radiating across the overlays is a multi-colour gradient inspired by the subway lines that snake through The Bronx – from ‘Challenge Red’ to ‘Lucky Green’ – vibrant, loud, and unapologetic. A clean white Swoosh slices through the chaos, while a smoked-out translucent sole keeps it grounded.
Zoom in and the personal touches start to stack. Gold lace dubraes mimic grillz, and metallic circular heel tabs flash a proud ‘NY’. The lace tips read 'Bronx Girls Skate' in white, while the collar lining features a graphic of interlocking arms – a powerful emblem of unity. Underfoot, ‘BX/GS’ text stamps the outsoles, and custom insoles bring it all home with subway-inspired artwork and the rallying cry, 'I Am Because We Are,' printed in both English and Spanish.
Retailing for $140, the Bronx Girls Skate x Nike SB Dunk Low will drop via SNKRS and select skate shops this holiday season.
