Bricks & Wood Debut Collaborative New Balance 57/40
Founded in 2014, Bricks & Wood are a young brand that was born in South Central LA. They’re a streetwear brand that creates high-quality garments while giving members of the South Central community a wider voice. As a brand that has cemented itself within the streetwear scene, we weren’t surprised when we heard that tapped them for a collaborative release. Working on the 57/40, the duo have opted for a pleasing combo that screams the LA aesthetic.
If you’re wondering why the shape of the 57/40 look so familiar, that’s because it is! This new NB silhouette is actually a variation of the classic , with a slew of modernised twists such as new sole unit and perforated panels. So far, all of the 57/40 colourways we’ve seen have been quite muted, but Bricks & Wood wanted to spice it up – plastering the silhouette in a full green suede upper. The usual perforated materials and contrast branding remain in place, with a white sole unit down below completing the vibe.
The Bricks & Wood x New Balance 57/40 has already released alongside a slew of apparel through a dedicated pop-up in LA that occurred on May 27. However, they’ll receive a wider release on June 4 at select New Balance stockists globally.
