Brandblack's Aura II Does the Thing

After seeing fashion houses duke it out with bulky sneakers, Brandblack are throwing their hat in the ring with the Aura II.

In all fairness, first Aura embraced the bulk a while ago. But there are certain elements in this upgrade that are fiercely familiar. The midsole is redolent of tooling, and colour-blocking harks to releases from Dior’s SS18 footwear collection.

Rather than get up in arms about likeness, we advise viewing the Aura II as the sneaker version of sampling. Not everyone can pay high-fashion’s exorbitant prices, so it’s good that someone out there is making some form of diffusion line that opens the style up to wider markets.
