Brain Dead’s Flame-Grilled Japans Drop This August

Ever since their inaugural footwear collaboration with in 2017, haven’t stopped linking with sneaker brands for mega partnerships that shake the sneakersphere to its core. While they’re not overly hyped, the creative collective’s visions are always inventive and unique, pulling inspiration from the most mind-melting places. At just-passed , BD gave the world a at what they’ve been working on with , and that included this two-pack of .

At the recent PFW showroom, a common theme across much of Brain Dead’s adidas colab was Mexican wrestling tradition Lucha Libre; the influence can be seen in the Japan silhouette, through the flame design which engulfs the toebox and heel. Aside from this detail, the Japan construction remains much the same as its previous iteration, with nylon base and leather Three Stripes. Completing this colab are fluffy laces and co-branded touches on the lateral.

Brain Dead and adidas are yet to officially announce any details around this collaboration, but select retailers have started populating their release pages with these heaters. An August 28 date is expected.
