You Can DIY a Formstrip With Bodega’s PUMA Suede

Bodega x PUMA Suede

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve witnessed a collaboration on a release calendar, but the Boston-born boys are now back in the mix. Following an earlier this year, the legendary sneaker store have managed to continue their long history as one of the most in the scene. Their latest venture is with on the iconic and in true Bodega fashion they’ve deviated from the norm, and engineered the Formstrip for expression.

For the freshest Bodega x PUMA linkup, the duo have opted for a low-key forest green hue further accentuated by the woody brown midsoles. The Suede still stays true to its namesake, with most of the upper donning a hairier version of the fabric, complemented by plush leather lining and stitched patch on the rear. Bodega branding is kept minimal, with hits on the tongue and insole. However the shining star of this linkup is the Formstrip, which has been replaced by bungee-like cords that can be customised and threaded to however your heart desires.

Though Bodega have many brands on their collaborative roster, they have only collaborated with PUMA a handful of times – but they’ve all been bangers! Back in 2007 they reworked the Sky Hi II, decking out the uppers in a ‘Spy vs Spy’ makeup. Last year, they also reworked a GV Special that was adorned in suede and hosted special branding touches, although these were just kept to an F&F run.

You can expect the Bodega x PUMA Suede to land alongside a swathe of apparel on August 9.
