Black and White is a Safe Option for the Nike Pegasus Trail 3
Following the unveiling of the saturated iteration last week, the Trail 3 will also cater for those adventurous in spirit but not necessarily with their colourway choices. Black and white will forever be a combo that works on just about every shoe, and it’s all business on the performance-slanted Pegasus Trail 3.
The third generation update of the Pegasus Trail line features incremental changes while retaining a number of successful features found on its predecessors. React foam is favoured as the optimal cushioning compound for off-road, as opposed to the tarmac-ready Nike Air and Zoom Air options. The React is paired with lugged rubber tread that is sure-footed in slippery conditions – i.e. the trail, which is referenced in the throwback Nike Trail logo on the outsole.
Meanwhile, the Pegasus Trail 3’s uppers are tweaked for optimal breathability by being made mostly from mesh, but it still keeps the protection up in abrasion-prone regions like the toe bumper to prevent premature wear. Its practical black and white colourway will keep things looking clean – the upper at least; the midsoles might need an occasional scrub with regular outings.
The Nike Pegasus Trail 3 will release in black and white on June 3.
