Following their recent 6-Inch Boot collaboration, Bee Line by Billionaire Boys Club are teaming up with Timberland again to release a new trail collection that showcases the latter brand’s footwear offering beyond their classic boots. And increasingly important is the ecological ethos underlying this new drop, which also features some hiking-ready apparel.

This colab selects Timberland’s relatively new Solar Ridge Hiker, a low-cut boot-meets-sneaker that’s outdoors ready with a slew of impressive traits. It’s completely waterproof thanks to a GORE-TEX bootie liner, which sits beneath an upper made from patterned textiles, durable leather and textured overlays. Further bolstering the outdoors capabilities of this shoe is its oversized heel and toe bumpers that are made from climbing grade rubber.

However, the main attraction of the Solar Ridge Hiker is its use of GreenStride soles, one of the latest environmentally conscious cushioning systems pioneered by Timberland. These soles are made from 75 per cent renewable materials including sugarcane and rubber, and are paired to insoles made from 70 per cent bio-based materials. Comfort and conscience is maintained.

The Bee Line Solar Ridge Hiker releases in three colourways from BBC locations on April 1, followed by a wider drop at global Timberland stores a week later on April 8. There will also be apparel including a waterproof three-layer parka, t-shirts and pants, all made using recycled and/or organic materials.
