Sneaker ateliers are no strangers to a , and are again paying homage to the Ape, this time with their Air ‘Monkey Ass’ SB.
The Melbourne-based bunch have taken the classic SB silhouette — complete with OG fat tongue and hardy round laces — and swathed it in supple calf suede, premium Veg-Tan cowhide, and tumbled lamb and calf skin. BAPE detailing abounds, with the signature BAPE Sta shooting star replacing the medial Swoosh and their ape head logo gracing the tongue. Finally, a cheeky (pun intended) embroidered pink patch on the heel counter puts the ass in this ‘Monkey Ass’ and rounds out the luxe make-up.
Only eight pairs of the ‘Monkey Ass’ will be available, built-to-order, so swing over to at 12pm AEST on September 5 to secure a pair — no monkeying around!
