BEAMS and adidas Go Luxury on the Superstar
The 50th anniversary celebrations for the legendary are still rocking, and now Team Trefoil have tapped Japanese brand to create a blacked-out luxury version.
Upstairs, the whole upper has been completely covered in black, with the familiar debossed Superstar branding along the lateral where it belongs. The highlight would have to be matching pony-haired hits on the Three Stripes and heel tab, while leather lining, and blacked-out laces and midsole add that extra touch of luxe. A very subtle colourway, it doesn’t seem to make use of any BEAMS branding whatsoever, with the only contrasting element being the pink midsole.
If you’re after the BEAMS x adidas Superstar, then lock in October 16. They’ll be available at adidas and select retailers in Japan. Sadly, a global release is yet to be announced, but we’ll keep you updated if anything else surfaces.
