Heritage Gets a Grip: Vans OTW Step Out with Au Départ

have teamed up with historic French leather goods house Au Départ to unveil one of their most refined takes on the Authentic 44 to date. Dubbed the 'Heritage Cognac', the limited-edition silhouette blurs the line between skate staple and luxury essential.

Part of the OTW premium line, the collaboration marks a major milestone for Au Départ – their first-ever foray into footwear. Known for crafting elevated travel accessories since 1910, the French maison bring a legacy of geometric patterning and rich, coated leathers to Vans’ iconic vulcanised design.

Finished with gold foil branding, tonal hardware and a leather-lined interior, the result is a silhouette that stays true to the Authentic’s laid-back form while pushing the boundaries of what luxury skatewear can look like. Released in limited quantities, this drop follows Vans’ , continuing a run of high-concept, premium-tier reinterpretations.
