While sneakerheads understand that designs tend to be an internal affair – that is, created without collaboration – the brand have enlisted Tokyo-based boutique to flip this year's script. It comes in the form of a silhouette featuring the distinctive teardrop shape known as a 'boteh'.

Images of the Atmos x New Balance 1000 'Bāṅdhnū' leaked a few months ago, but now we have a release date which confirms the model as a supplement to the 2025 'Grey Days' lineup. The 'Bāṅdhnū' is named for the Hindi tie-dyeing technique often used to create fabrics which feature the boteh shape repeated – also known as a 'paisley' pattern. You've seen it on the bandanas of 2Pac and Snoop, and now you can wear it on-foot.

The 'Bāṅdhnū' design wraps a black, white and grey paisley pattern across the model's underlays and tongue, with premium black nubuck layered on top in fluid, complementary lines. The silhouette's segmented sole unit boasts ABZORB cushioning at forefoot and heel, with a Stability Web midfoot shank to keep you as grounded as a stylin' mountain goat. The New Balance logo appears on both sides of each kick, and is granted a nice pop with bright white borders.

The atmos x New Balance 1000 'Bāṅdhnū' releases May 23, 2025, exclusively through the atmos raffle opening May 17. If you want to cop you'll need to smash the link below, and be ready to lay down $180. If you're lucky, you might even score one of the bandanas Atmos are randomly giving away with purchase.
