What the atmos? Previous Colabs ‘Mash Up’ on this adidas ZX 8000
Japanese retailer have numerous collaboratives with multiple brands, but their ongoing partnership with is one of their longest and strongest. This comes to a new peak on the upcoming ‘Mash Up’, a blend of past projects as evident on the wild colourway and mixed materials.
Each portion of this colab – the eighth entry in the ‘G-SNK’ series that kicked off in 2011 – is easily identifiable. The sole is blue and yellow in reference to the OG ZX 8000 colourway that was the basis of the first atmos colab in the series. The front toe cap and laces in red and yellow come from the ‘Germany’ edition that atmos reissued in 2022. Behind that: the green and yellow mid-panel taken from the pair featured in the AZ-X collection of 2020. Subtler details include the glow-in-the-dark snakeskin pattern, blue heel counter and black tongue as used on previous pairs.
Online raffles are open now for the atmos x adidas ZX 8000 ‘Mash Up’, which will be drawn on February 17. A limited release will arrive at atmos stores on February 18, and according to the retailer, this will be a global exclusive.
