ASICS Mine the GEL-Lyte III OG ‘Emerald’
While some other sneaker brands are making a lot of noise about anniversary releases, have quietly celebrated some milestones of their own. It’s the 30th birthday, and the next OG colourway back in circulation is the ‘Emerald’.
Based on the original specification of microfibre and nylon mesh, alternating shades of rich green and lurid purple highlight the GL3’s distinctive split tongue and performance features. The latter colour is a bit lighter this time round, compared to earlier retros, but perhaps that’s a nod to the silhouette’s now-vintage status.
The ‘Emerald’ is currently being unearthed at boutiques like Sneaker Politics.
