By now you probably already know that Bulgarian-designer Kiko Kostadinov and his team were enlisted by ASICS to work in-house, consulting on designs and colour palettes. However the products are not co-branded or considered to be collaborative. The duo recently dropped a stack of HN2-S PROTOBLASTs and it was a home run with full size runs selling out all over the globe. Next up for the pair, they’re reworking the slightly-obscure GEL-NANDI, turning the low-top into a basketball-themed high-top.

There’s also been a name change to reflect the alterations to the silhouette, with the model given the new HS3-S GEL-NANDI SP V G-TX moniker. The numbers and letters at the beginning of the name also signifying that it’s a Kiko-curated shoe. The aggressive GEL-NANDI tooling remains, however heavily references hiking boots and ASICS' early-2000s basketball archive. Subtlety is everything, so you may have missed that this shoe has been injected with GORE-TEX and has clean metal eyelets toward the top.

If you’re after either the ‘Graphite Grey’ or ‘Sea Glass’ ASICS HS3-S GEL-NANDI SP V G-TX, then you can cop them via the brand’s web store on March 18.
