This ASICS GEL-Lyte III Duo is Perfectly Perforated
The keeps on keepin’ on into 2022 with even more colour and material variations of their likely best-known heritage model. This new duo makes full use of its upper’s complex layers to display a wide range of textures and hues that have helped cement it as a lifestyle favourite.
Suede is par for the course for the GL3, which has been a standard choice since the model’s revival over 15 years ago. Where these two pairs take it to the next level is the choice to use perforated panelling on the toe box and mid panels – something that has all but guaranteed an instantly powerful colourway. And colour is something offered in abundance here: the ‘Barely Rose’ pair also brings on duck egg blue, pale yellow and grey leather accents, joined to a complementary two-tone GEL midsole. Similarly, the ‘Light Sage’ edition incorporates the light green shade with some stately grey before adding soft hues of pink that could easily alternate with its counterpart pair. Both pairs do away with reflective accents and let the premium leather do the talking.
