The ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 Continues to Thrive
The come-up in recent years has been dizzying. Guided by the expert curatorial hand of Bulgarian designer the famous Japanese imprint has been driving home hit after hit.
Central to their success of late has been the ASICS Tapped by the likes of moodboard maestros in 2022, the silhouette continues to arrive in plenty of inline heat.
Known for its kinetic, late 2000s aesthetic, the Kayano 14 was the first silhouette in the series designed by someone other than the legendary Toshikazu Kayano. Modernising the shoe with all of ASICS’ contemporary tech wizardry, the Kayano 14 retains all the vintage visuals of the popular model, including the iconic midsole tooling. Importantly, the modern iterations also reduce water usage by 33 per cent and carbon emissions by approximately 45 per cent.
The latest colourway to arrive is emblazoned with sleek metallic visuals, the rose gold, silver and red rendition again reinforcing the shoe’s central late 2000s vibes.
